Honestly, I don’t consider myself crafty or creative at all. When I was in school, my notebook will be filled with drawings and doodles. That explains why I wasn’t absorbing lectures in class. *LOL* I took 3 college entrance exams and 2 of them were major in Fine Arts. The other one was Computer Science simply because the university doesn’t offer art courses. After some rounds of cat fight with my mom, I eventually chose CS which was out of my heart’s will but deemed to have a brighter future (pertaining to job market in the Philippines). Well, mom was right and I can consider myself blessed for having a profession that allows me to travel. Since then, I’ve dropped any creativity outlet altogether. I knew about digital scrapbooking around 2005 when I was lurking around the web for some wedding ideas. First digiscrap layout I saw was from Mrs. Schmuck, then from Aggie and Angie. The bug bit me really hard, I was hooked ever since. My first project was to scrap guest sheets for our wedding. With the help of bebot friends, we had beautiful guest sheets that were constantly raved by suppliers and friends. That was my first encounter with digital scrapbooking. What’s yours?
Please feel free to snag this if you haven’t answered it yet.

I’m on early shift this week. Work starts at 630am and by 4pm, I’m already at home. I’m feeling sleepy already at 430pm but I decided to stay away from the bed. I need to be awake so I can sleep early tonight. Blog and scrap galore to..

A) Four places I go over and over:
1. Loblaws - Grocery near our place. It’s a big supermarket where you could almost get anything. Meat, vegetables, fruits, seafoods, freshly baked breads, canned goods, almost anything. Prices are a little higher than most superstores but their products are a lot fresher.
2. Tim Horton’s - Eto na ang kapalit ng starbucks dito sa Canada.
3. Chinatown - for cheap finds and to satisfy craving for authentic chinese food.
4. Malls - kahit saang mall… this is where we get our regular walking exercise.
B) Four people who e-mail me regularly:
1. Tickets - it means work work work.
2. Wordpress - for comment notification and blog back-ups
3. Digiscrap Store newsletters - enablers but I still keep my subscriptions active to keep myself up to date with sales and cheap finds.
4. Spam - annoying but there’s just no way to get rid of it!
C) Four of my favorite places to eat?
1. hotdog stand at Dundas Square
2. korean restos at North York
3. again, Chinatown
4. Now my mouth is watering for Mangan and Aristo.
D) Four places you’d rather be?
Manila… I miss everyone.
E) Four people I think will respond:
1. Litzie
2. Mai
3. Alexis
4. Ate Jen
F) Four TV shows I could watch over and over:
1. Nanny 911
2. Food Network
3. Full House
4. Hana Kimi

Snagged this from Mai and Jacq.

You are PAPER!
You are an all natural basic person who likes to act as a foundation to others. You are willing to take a backseat in most of your relationships and let others take the spotlight, while you show your support and help them shine! Underneath it all, you are the one who makes it all happen. You are the focus and stability in any group, even if you are not the leader. Others look to you to set the pace and provide ideas for ways to get things done. But Paper Beware - sometimes you get a little edgy with the people who look to you for support and can give them some papercut remarks that can hurt their feelings. Remember to watch what you say, because you are best when leading by example.

That is me! Why Queen of the Week? Well, I have a house husband cooking and serving me dinner for the past 5 days. He also cleans the house, do the laundry, wash the dishes… just about anything a stay-at-home wife does. Don’t you just love it??? I’m chore-free!!!
In case you’re wondering why the sudden change of role, well, the house husband is on one week vacation before he starts his first day at his new company. Well, I’m not snatching away his rest time. I actually encouraged him to go out for a short trip so his vacation will be worth it. But I guess the husband just can’t stand the days away from me. *LOL* Ok, I’m exaggerating. Anyways, I’m the one who solely benefits from the change of role. Apart from getting away with chores, at least the man in the house gets first hand experience on the sweat of running a household. Payback time!!! hahaha…
Since he’s the cook for the entire week, let me share with you some of his masterpiece. Well, it’s mostly same recipe as I posted before with slight touch of his magic hands. *LOL* It’s amazing to know that he actually has his own cooking style and his dishes tastes pretty good! Sapokin ako ni Dex pag mabasa niya to… feeling niya binobola ko sya. haha… I was only able to take photos from first night’s candle light dinner and the superb beef stir fry for day 2. And I call it - Cooking ni Mister collection!

(1) Toasted Bread (2) Candle Light (the husband’s surprise)

Tiger Shrimp Pasta. The husband cooked this by himself. I did the plating. Yumminess!

(1) Taste Test (2) Hm…..

High Score!!!

(1) Secret Ingredient Revealed! (2) Kusinero of the Week

Chili Beef Stir Fry - super hot! Tastes like Chinatown
I’m glad the husband has find some interest in cooking and actually wasn’t disastrous as I originally expected. hehe… 2 more days to enjoy being the queen… next week he becomes the king while I’ll be back as the wife again. *LOL*

Enabling enabling… have you seen this new kit from Faith True? As the name of the kit implies, the design really suits us Asians. I especially love the textured papers and the realistic flowers. Grab it at SPD or LOLS while it’s hot! It’s 20% off at SPD!

And here’s what I came up with… my very first LO as part of the True Team. The kit is just perfect for the subject! And I’m so thrilled to see my LO used as sample of the kit in the store! yay!

Patience is definitely virtue. I’ve been actively applying for CTs and guest CTs for the past few weeks. Needless to say, I still get the smash of being turned down (no hard feelings though) but sometimes it just takes the right timing and a little bit of luck.
Lookie! I was accepted as Dawn Inkship’s guest CT for December! Yeah, I know it’s still far off but I can’t help but feel excited! I started to notice her products just a couple of weeks ago while browsing through the galleries. When I saw her guest CT call at DST, I knew I just had to try my luck. And I guess I’m lucky!

Talking about lucky, I have another guest stint this December with another favorite designer. And that’s not all, I’m joining another great designer as her permanent CT at one of my favorite digiscrap shop! Woot! I was so so happy this morning I had a big grin on my face almost the whole day! haha… I can’t spill the details just yet since I have to wait for the official announcement. Watch out girls
ETA: Ok, so the official announcement came out today. I’m one of the girls in Faith’s True Team!!! Faith’s selling primarily at Live Out Loud and Shabby Pickles. Oh my gosh! I feel so honored to be accepted! Yey!!!

When was the last time you had your hair cut/trimmed?
I had my hair trimmed and curled for the second time last January before we left for Canada. Visit to the salon has been an annual event since I had my hair curled!
Soup
Name one thing you miss about being a child.
School, friends, and of course christmas and summer vacation!
Salad
Pick one: butter, margarine, olive oil.
I’m trying to be health conscious here so I have to pick olive oil.
Main Course
If you could learn another language, which one would you pick, and why?
Japanese or Korean… so I can watch TV series even without subtitles
Dessert
Finish this sentence: In 5 years I expect to be…
Mom of two kids… a boy and a girl
